23-Year-Old Female Dies After Being Hit in the Head by a Rock in the US

A 23-year-old woman died Wednesday night after a rock crashed through her windshield and struck her in the head while she was driving in North Carolina.
Brittany Elizabeth Ferguson was driving in Burke County at about 8:40 p.m. when a rock came through the windshield of her car and fatally struck her in the head.
The vehicle ran off the road and crashed into a house, ABC News reported.
The Morganton native died at the scene, according to authorities.
After the incident, witnesses saw a pickup truck driving in the area with a man standing in the back.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the case to contact police. No arrests have been made.
