One dead and two injured in New Caledonia shooting

A man was killed and two others were injured in New Caledonia on Tuesday during a shooting at a roadblock set up by rioters, sources close to the case said.
General Nicolas Mattheos, commander of the New Caledonia gendarmerie, confirmed to AFP "one dead and two injured in Kaala-Gomen", a commune in the north of the island.
The incident occurred at 2:30 pm local time (3:30 am GMT), according to two sources close to the case.
