In a statement, the Health Ministry of Gaza, a body dependent on Hamas, reports that 83 people died in 24 hours, this in a night of "intense bombings" in Jabalia, in the north of the enclave, and that new troop movements were registered in Rafah, in the south.

In over seven months of war, 79,366 injuries were registered, reports the same body, cited by both the AFP and EFE agencies.

"Israel committed massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, causing 83 deaths and 105 injuries during the last 24 hours", reads the statement that gives an account of a count in the enclave's hospitals.

The total number of injuries today reached 79,366 since October 7, after 225 days of fighting.

Over 1.7 million inhabitants of Gaza -- the majority of the population -- were displaced and over one million are starving.

The spokesman for Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip, independent of Hamas, said today that the destruction in Jabalia is "massive", after over 300 houses were "completely destroyed".

On Friday, the arrival of humanitarian aid began through the floating dock, anchored on the coast of Gaza, at a time when, according to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the number of vehicles with food and fuel entering Gaza fell to "dangerously low" levels in the last two weeks.

After the closing of the southern passage of Rafah, only about 100 trucks enter the enclave per day, compared to the 600 that would be necessary to resolve the situation of famine.
