What if a snake showed up at your sister's wedding out of nowhere and threatened to crash the party? For Erika Rodriguez, who grew up in Arizona, the answer was clear: Grab the reptile with your bare hands and remove it from the premises.

The incident, which occurred earlier this month, unfolded as Rodriguez was celebrating her sister's nuptials in Florence, Arizona, when a snake decided to slither into the festivities.

A video posted to TikTok shows Rodriguez, wearing an orange dress for the occasion, picking up the snake by its tail as other wedding guests look on in awe.

"Erika, you're a savage!" one guest can be heard shouting in the clip, which has been viewed more than 1 million times on social media.

Holding the snake out in front of her at a safe distance by its tail, the woman walks it away from the party and into the surrounding brush, using her other hand to keep her dress from dragging on the ground.

"Weddings in Arizona," reads the caption on the video, which was shared by Rodriguez's other sister, Sandra.

The wedding was certainly one that guests won't soon forget — and neither will the internet. "The snake made an appearance in the little cocktail area. The worker tried to grab it, but it fell down the steps and onto the deck right there and came back," Erika told Fox10 Phoenix.

After the employee "took off and didn't want to deal with it," Erika decided to take matters into her own hands — literally.

Once she released the snake and the congratulations poured in, the woman was rewarded with a beer from the bar.

"Growing up, I was a little bit of a tomboy, so I was always outside catching grasshoppers and frogs and snakes and whatever I could get my hands on," she said.
