According to this non-governmental organization (NGO) based in the United Kingdom but with a large network of sources in Syria, "one of the Israeli attacks targeted a position of the Lebanese Hezbollah" in the Qoussair region, near the border with Lebanon.

"Six pro-Iranian fighters were killed," added the OSDH, without specifying the nationality or affiliation of the victims.

However, according to information provided by a source from the fundamentalist Shiite Islamic Hezbollah organization to the French news agency AFP, "a [Hezbollah] fighter was killed and another was injured in the attack on Qussair".

The Shiite organization, which militarily supports the Syrian regime, has a strong presence in this region.

Another attack targeted positions of pro-Iranian groups in the south of the city of Homs, said the OSDH, without reporting any victims.

The Israeli army has carried out hundreds of attacks in Syria since the outbreak of the civil war in the country in 2011, mainly targeting military positions and pro-Iranian fighters.

The attacks have intensified since the beginning of the war between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas, on October 7, in the Gaza Strip.

Hezbollah, in turn, carries out attacks against Israel from southern Lebanon to support its Palestinian ally.

On Saturday, an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle carrying Hezbollah members on the border between Lebanon and Syria, but all escaped unharmed, the observatory said.

Israel rarely comments on the attacks it carries out in Syria, but regularly repeats that it will not allow its "sworn enemy", Iran, to increase its presence in this country.
