81-Year-Old Rescued Alive in Spain After Escaping From Home
The search began on Sunday after the man escaped. The elderly man was only found on Monday morning.

An 81-year-old man was rescued alive on Monday morning by the Guardia Civil and Civil Protection in Cambre, Spain, after he escaped from the nursing home where he lived.
The search began on Sunday after the man escaped, according to La Voz de Galicia. However, the operations ended up being interrupted and were only resumed during the early hours of Monday. "He was finally located by the Guardia Civil's air service helicopter, in a wooded and difficult-to-access area, in Cecebre", said the police force.
After being rescued by the helicopter, the man was transported to an area of easier access where an ambulance was waiting for him. The man was then taken to a local hospital.
The presence of the helicopter caused great excitement among the locals.
