According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, nine people were injured in the same clashes.
Among the dead are a surgeon from Jenin hospital, Aseed Jabareen, "attacked on the way to the medical center", teacher Allam Jadarat and a student, who were in a school, said the hospital director, Wissam Bakr, quoted by the Palestinian official news agency Wafa.
According to Wafa, Israeli forces invaded the Jenin camp, entering the central streets with armored military vehicles, sparking armed clashes both in the camp and in the surrounding neighborhoods and in the neighboring village of Burqin.
The occupied West Bank is experiencing the most serious violence since the Second Intifada (2000-2005).
Since January, at least 184 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli gunfire, including 30 minors, according to the Spanish news agency EFE.
On the Israeli side, 10 people have been killed in eight Palestinian attacks since the beginning of the year, including four soldiers and six civilians, three of whom were settlers.
In 2023, the deadliest year of the last two decades, 520 Palestinians died in clashes in the West Bank.
The Israeli army intensified its incursions into the occupied West Bank after the Hamas attack of October 7, 2023 against Israeli territory.
The Jenin refugee camp was established in 1953 to house Palestinian citizens forced to leave their original places of residence during the 1948 war.
