Former Russian President and current Deputy Chairman of the country's Security Council, Dmitri Medvedev, said this Tuesday that any decision coming out of the peace summit for Ukraine, which will be held in Switzerland, will be "null and void" and issued a warning to "neutral" countries.

"The 'conference' on Ukraine in Switzerland is just around the corner. The U.S. and its allies are trying to galvanize the dead “peace formula” by the Kiev psycho who has lost the last shred of legitimacy, by inviting to this pointless gathering as many participants as possible," Medvedev began writing in a post published on the X social network (formerly Twitter), in a reference to Volodymyr Zelensky.

"It is clear that the outcome of this meeting will be null and void: peace talks are never held with only one of the parties in conflict," he said.

According to Medvedev, "for various reasons, some neutral countries have to respond to these invitations so as not to damage relations with the main players", but he warns: "But they must also understand that participation in such a hateful event, whether they like it or not, means that they are abandoning their position of equidistance and siding with Bandera's political regime".

"Regardless of any well-intentioned considerations they may have in mind, they will end up playing by the rules established by the neo-Nazis of Kiev," he added.

"Thus, neutral countries, tempted by the promises of some Western states to participate in the 'peace conference', should understand that these actions will be duly evaluated by Russia and will definitely influence our relations in the future. We will not forget this," he warned.

It should be recalled that the Swiss government has already confirmed that it has invited 160 countries, excluding Russia, to participate in the peace summit for Ukraine in June at the request of the Ukrainian government and intended to legitimize President Volodymyr Zelensky's "peace formula".
