On Monday night, another edition of the Pet Gala fashion show took place (a pun on the popular 'Met Gala', which took place at the beginning of the month).

The show brought together 18 dogs, dressed to the nines, who paraded on the red carpet of the American Kennel Club Museum of the Dog, in New York, United States, according to the Associated Press (AP) news agency.

"I want people to understand that we're not making fun of the Met Gala. We're not spoofing the Met Gala. We're elevating, we're appreciating, we're celebrating the wonderful designs that were presented at the Met Gala by the world's most talented designers," said Anthony Rubio, the man responsible for organizing the Pet Gala.

Tickets cost $300 (about 276 euros) and the money raised is donated to the museum that hosts the event, where the costumes will be kept during the month of June.

The canine versions of some of the 'designs' that most marked the 2024 edition of the Met Gala paraded down the red carpet.

This was the case of the poodle Ted Gram, who recreated the 'look' of the singer Bad Bunny, or Livie, the morkie breed dog who 'imitated' the style of the model Gigi Hadid.
