Israeli minister orders return of equipment seized from PA
Israel's communications minister has ordered the return of video equipment seized from the Associated Press after the U.S. news agency was prevented from broadcasting live from the Gaza Strip earlier today.

Israeli authorities seized the equipment after accusing the U.S. news agency of violating a new “media law” by providing footage to the Qatari-based broadcaster Al-Jazeera, whose local offices were shut down May 5 under the new law, which authorizes the seizure of equipment, bans broadcasts and blocks websites.
The Biden administration, journalism organizations and an Israeli opposition leader have all pressured Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government after authorities seized equipment from AP journalists in Gaza.
