"The President [Biden] is a strong supporter of a two-state solution and has been throughout his career. He believes that a Palestinian state should be created through direct negotiations between the parties and not through unilateral recognition," she said in reaction to the decision by three European countries to recognise the State of Palestine.
Spain, Ireland and Norway announced today that they would recognise the State of Palestine on May 28, prompting Israel to summon its ambassadors in the three countries for consultations.
