A 40-year-old man was caught by the Guardia Civil driving a vehicle at 231 kilometers per hour on the AP-68 highway, near Zaragoza, Spain, on Tuesday. According to the Spanish press, the man was driving without a valid driver's license because he had already lost all his points and was under the influence of four narcotics: cocaine, cannabis, amphetamines, and methamphetamines.

The newspaper El Mundo revealed that the incident occurred at kilometer 268 of the AP-68, in the town of Figueruelas, when the Guardia Civil traffic patrol was carrying out a speed control.

The agents, upon detecting a car traveling at a speed of 231 kilometers per hour, ordered it to stop and identified the driver for a crime of speeding.

The man, a resident of Navarre, was also subjected to an alcohol and drug test, which tested positive for cocaine, cocaine, amphetamines, and methamphetamines.

In a statement quoted by El Mundo, the Guardia Civil recalled that "inadequate speed is one of the main factors in road accidents, especially those involving fatalities, since the higher the speed, the more difficult it is to react in time to avoid the accident and the more serious the injuries caused".
