The detainees are members of the Frente Popular, a platform that brings together youth associations, women's groups and unions.
Thursday's hearing was postponed to 12:00 today (13:00 in Lisbon) and the group of activists gathered at the door of the court, in solidarity.
Around 13:00 a contingent of the Public Order Police arrived at the scene, giving orders to disperse the activists and journalists.
The group still outlined protests, but quickly ended up leaving the door of the court, removing the signs that they had placed there in solidarity with the detainees.
The activists went to the Casa dos Direitos and at this moment the police contingent is in the vicinity of the building.
A member of the team of lawyers who will defend the detainees of the Frente Popular told Lusa that they will continue in court waiting "to see if they bring them or not".
The downtown area of Bissau, where the regional court of Bissau is located, has the presence of many police officers and vehicles.
