At least 30 people were killed on Sunday in an Israeli attack on Rafah in the Gaza Strip.

The attack was reported by the Palestinian Red Crescent and took place in a humanitarian zone.

"The Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance crews are transporting a large number of martyrs and injured individuals following the occupation's [Israeli] targeting of the displaced persons' tents near the United Nations headquarters northwest of Rafah", the organization denounces.

"This location was designated by the Israeli occupation as a humanitarian zone", they also wrote, pointing out that there were still people in the rubble left by the attack. Images circulating on social media, which the Notícias ao Minuto chose not to show due to violence, show the flames still burning on the site and the total destruction.

Although the Red Crescent does not indicate numbers, the press office of the Hamas-led Gaza government said, quoted by the British press, that at least 30 people died.

The attack comes hours after Hamas fired rockets at Israel. There were no deaths, but some images show the damage caused.

Also today, dozens of trucks loaded with humanitarian aid, including fuel, entered the Gaza Strip from Egypt today through the Kerem Shalom crossing, controlled by Israel.
