At least 10 dead, 39 injured in Turkey pileup

A passenger bus crashed into several vehicles Sunday night, killing at least 10 people and injuring 39 on a highway in southern Turkey’s Mersin province.
The accident occurred when the bus veered into oncoming traffic in heavy rain and hit two cars. A truck then crashed into the three vehicles, Gov. Ali Hamza Pehlivan said, according to the Associated Press.
The injured were taken to nearby hospitals. At least eight people were in serious condition, according to the state-run Anadolu Agency.
The intercity bus was carrying 28 passengers and was traveling from the southeastern city of Diyarbakir to Adana.
