Republican Donald Trump has again accused US President Joe Biden of wanting him dead and trying to do so through the Justice Department by authorizing the use of “deadly force” during an FBI search of his Florida mansion in 2022. The first allegation had already been slammed by US Attorney General Merrick Garland as "false and extremely dangerous."

"This is a Donald Trump alert. Deadly force? Biden authorized it. They brought guns to raid Mar-a-Lago," read an email from Trump's presidential campaign to supporters.

"I am sick of the Radical Left destroying our Country, and trying to destroy me," added the message, which, according to British newspaper The Guardian, listed the various searches, indictments and arrests that Trump claims he has been subjected to for political purposes, before asking for donations of up to $500 (€460).

It should be noted that the first accusation was made last week, also in a fundraising email to his supporters. According to the former US president, the language used in the search warrant for Mar-a-Lago, where Trump was hiding classified documents, implied that Biden wanted armed agents to take him down.

Mar-a-Lago, mandado

On his social media platform Truth Social, he also noted that "Joe Biden's Justice Department authorized the FBI to use deadly force" against him. His campaign amplified this idea, adding in another email that “authorizing the use of ‘deadly force’ against a former President of the United States (and the leading political rival of the party in power) takes weaponizing the law, on the part of the Biden Administration, to an entirely new level.”

The FBI itself has responded to these accusations, assuring that “standard protocol” was followed in the search, as is done in all similar operations, and that “no one ordered the use of additional force, and no use of force occurred beyond the standard protocol.”
