"Algeria and Slovenia, as non-permanent members of the UN Security Council, have been working together for months to find solutions to various current issues and global challenges," Golob said at a press conference after meeting with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
The Slovenian prime minister revealed that he discussed with the Algerian president the "tragic" situation in Palestine and the importance of cooperation in supporting its people.
The government of Slovenia, a member state of NATO and the European Union, said last week that it will soon join the official recognition of the Palestinian state, which Spain, Ireland and Norway will do on Tuesday, May 28.
On the occasion of Golob's visit to Algeria, the two states signed two agreements in the areas of hydrocarbons, through which Algeria will increase its gas exports, and in artificial intelligence, and also decided to create a commission for economic affairs.
