One-year-old baby drowns in a swimming pool in Palma de Mallorca
The infant underwent resuscitation maneuvers to reverse the condition, but without success.

A baby of about one year old drowned on Tuesday afternoon after falling into a swimming pool in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
The tragic event occurred at 3:00 p.m. (local time, 2:00 p.m. in Lisbon), at a time when the person responsible for the child was careless and the child accidentally fell into the water, according to sources from the National Police cited by 20 Minutos Spain.
The local press reports that the minor was in the care of the grandmother, since the parents had to go to the hospital.
The grandmother noticed the absence of her grandson and found him inside the pool, having immediately activated the emergency medical services and the police.
The baby, who was in cardiorespiratory arrest, was subjected to resuscitation maneuvers to reverse the condition, but without success, and death was declared on the spot.
