Mexico. Police and protesters clash outside Israeli embassy
Protesters clashed with police outside the Israeli Embassy in Mexico City during a demonstration against Israeli strikes in Rafah, in the Gaza Strip, the Agence France-Presse (AFP) news agency reported.

On Tuesday night, the demonstrators, some with their faces covered, threw stones at a squad of police who were blocking access to the diplomatic compound in the Lomas de Chapultepec neighborhood of the capital, Mexico City.
The police responded with tear gas, AFP also reported.
Dubbed “Urgent Action for Rafah” on social media, the demonstration brought together around 200 people and was called to protest the Israeli bombing of a camp for displaced persons in Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Israeli attack on Sunday left 45 dead and 249 wounded, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health, which is controlled by Hamas, the Islamist movement in power in the Palestinian territory.
