Three pickpockets arrested for "artfully" robbing a tourist in Lisbon
The men, who had recently arrived in Portugal, were detained at the Baixa Chiado Metro station.

Three people, aged between 27 and 42, were detained on Friday after stealing 850 euros from a tourist's bag in the parish of Santa Maria Maior, in Lisbon.
The trio "recently arrived in Portugal and the city of Lisbon" and "acted in a concerted manner", selecting "victims who visited the area and walked relaxed", stealing their belongings "astutely, without them noticing", explained the Metropolitan Command of Lisbon of the PSP in a statement to which the Notícias ao Minuto had access.
The men were detained at the Baixa Chiado Metro station, "after stealing an envelope with 850 euros in notes from inside the bag that a tourist was carrying on his shoulder".
"All belongings were recovered and handed over to their rightful owner, who did not notice the theft", adds the note.
Last week, the PSP's special brigade "dedicated to combating pickpocketing" carried out an operation "which resulted in 12 suspects being constituted as defendants", of which "nine were detained".
In addition to the arrests, it was possible to recover "goods worth 3,000 euros", which were "returned to their victims".
