One injured and one assisted after chemical gas leak in Beja hotel

One person was assisted and another was injured after a sodium hypochlorite and sulfuric acid gas leak in a warehouse at the Hotel Vila Galé Nep Kids, on Sunday afternoon.
The Lower Alentejo Sub-regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command confirmed the incident to Notícias ao Minuto , also reporting that the slightly injured person was transported to the Beja Hospital.
The hotel is isolated but did not need to be evacuated, he added.
The space is currently being ventilated.
Initially, the same source reported that it was a spill with a mixture of sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid in the warehouse, which was not verified upon the arrival of the Beja Volunteer Firefighters.
The National Republican Guard (GNR) is taking care of the incident.
