Ministry of Labor sends audit of Santa Casa Global to the TdC
The Ministry of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security (MTSSS) sent the final audit report on Santa Casa Global to the Court of Auditors (TdC) due to the internationalisation of social games, a ministry source confirmed.

According to the same source, it was the minister Maria do Rosário Ramalho who made the decision to send the audit result to the TdC, adding that the audit had already been forwarded to the Public Prosecutor's Office during the governance of the socialist minister Ana Mendes Godinho.
A source linked to the process assured Lusa that the consultant BDO delivered the final audit report to the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa.
At the beginning of the year, the institution had sent to the Public Prosecutor's Office and to the Court of Auditors the report on the external audit carried out at Santa Casa Global with data collected up to January 31, 2024.
The provider of the SCML, and the members of the Board, were dismissed on April 30, remaining in office until the appointment of a new team.
The Government accused the former provider of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa (SCML), Ana Jorge, and the members of the Board, of "seriously negligent actions", which affected the management of the institution, thus justifying the dismissal.
Later, in a letter sent to all workers, Ana Jorge accused the Government of having dismissed her "in a rude, arrogant and slanderous way" and that she was taken by surprise.
Ana Jorge took office on May 2, 2023, chosen by the previous socialist Government of António Costa, and inherited an institution with serious financial difficulties, after the years of pandemic and a process of internationalization of social games, carried out by the administration of the provider Edmundo Martinho, which may have caused losses in the order of 50 million euros.
