Three dozen firefighters fight fire in a house in Tomar. There is one injured person
One person was seriously injured in a fire that broke out today in a house in Tomar and that, at 11 am, was being fought by more than three dozen firefighters, a source from the Civil Protection told Lusa.

"The alert for a fire in a single-family home in Casal da Segurança, in the Union of Parishes of São João Baptista and Santa Maria Dos Olivais, in Tomar, was given at 9:05 am", a source from the Sub-regional Command of Médio Tejo of Civil Protection told the Lusa agency.
According to the same source, the house, located outside the center of Tomar, in the district of Santarém, was "completely engulfed in flames".
The source also indicated that there is a record of "one seriously injured person", "due to smoke inhalation", who was transported to the Abrantes Hospital, of the Médio Tejo Local Health Unit.
Lusa contacted the Tomar City Council to find out how many people lived in the house and if there is a need for relocation, but a municipal source indicated that the services are still analyzing the eventual needs.
According to the information available at 11:00 am on the portal of the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority, 37 personnel were involved in the firefighting operations, which were still active, with the support of 14 vehicles.
