Fatal accident conditions the Minho Line between Rio Tinto and Ermesinde
One person died today after being run over by a train on the Minho Line, between Rio Tinto and Ermesinde, in the district of Porto, causing the temporary suspension of rail traffic, a source from CP - Comboios de Portugal told Lusa.

The alert for the accident was given at 11:27, according to a source from the Sub-Regional Command of the Porto Metropolitan Area.
According to the source from CP, following the accident, train circulation was interrupted between 11:27 and 12:31.
At 12:32, the railway circulation on that section of the Minho Line was carried out on one track.
According to civil protection, the elements of the Areosa Volunteer Firefighters, an Emergency Medical and Resuscitation Vehicle (VMER) from the Pedro Hispano Hospital, the Public Security Police (PSP) and a team from Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP) went to the site.
