Air Force monitors Russian ship passage south of Algarve
This was the seventh mission to monitor Russian ships in 2024.

The Air Force monitored the passage of a Russian ship that crossed the Portuguese Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) on Thursday. "The merchant ship GENERAL SKOBELEV was monitored about 30 nautical miles from Cabo Raso, sailing towards the Mediterranean Sea," the entity detailed in a statement.
The vessel was south of the Algarve, according to the note.
The ship was accompanied by an Air Force aircraft and a Navy ship until it left the Portuguese area of responsibility.
This was the seventh monitoring mission of Russian ships in 2024.
