MP confirms that it is investigating Castelo Branco for domestic violence
The complaint led to an investigation for domestic violence, the Attorney General's Office confirmed to Notícias ao Minuto.

The Public Ministry (MP) confirmed, this Friday, that it is investigating José Castelo Branco for domestic violence against Betty Grafstein, following a complaint filed by the CUF Hospital in Cascais.
"We confirm the receipt of the aforementioned complaint. It gave rise to an investigation that is being carried out by the Integrated Domestic Violence Section of Sintra (SEIVD), of the Lisbon Regional Department", reads a response sent to Notícias ao Minuto by the press office of the Attorney General's Office.
It should be noted that the news was reported yesterday by Expresso, which had access to the complaint, and reported that Betty Grafstein, who has been hospitalized at the CUF Hospital in Cascais since April 20 due to a fall, has reported to several health professionals at that hospital unit that she was pushed by her husband and that "abusive behavior - physical and psychological - is recurrent".
It should be noted that the crime of domestic violence is a public crime and, therefore, it was the hospital itself that reported the situation to the MP.
To Fama ao Minuto, José Castelo Branco condemned the accusation, claiming that it was "slander" and guaranteed that it "will have to be proven in court". "I will not defend myself from something I did not do", completed the public figure.
