Man was spreading trash, PSP intervened. Officer was threatened and almost assaulted
A 35-year-old man was arrested in the act after littering on a public road in Marinha Grande. In front of the Public Security Police officers, he reacted aggressively.

The Public Security Police (PSP) arrested, on Thursday, a man who insulted, threatened and attempted to assault an officer of this authority in Marinha Grande, Leiria district.
According to a note sent this Friday to the Notícias ao Minuto, the situation occurred at the end of the afternoon, when the PSP went to the place where the man, 35, was "spreading garbage in the middle of the roadway, thus endangering the other users of the public road".
According to the note, the officers first tried to talk to the man, but he immediately insulted an officer and also tried to assault him.
"After being arrested, the citizen continued to insult the police officer and also threatened him", reads the statement.
The man was arrested in flagrante delicto and appeared this Friday at the Marinha Grande Court, being subject to a term of identity and residence and the process being processed for investigation.
