According to the HDES page on the social network Facebook, the hospital has made available the email hdes.saudemulher@azores.gov.pt to "minimize unnecessary visits to the Emergency Department".

The hospital states that all women "with mild pelvic pain, abnormal vaginal discharge, suspected symptoms of uncomplicated urinary infection (burning when urinating, feeling of pelvic heaviness or increased frequency of urination) or other low-severity gynecological or obstetric symptoms may send an email".

The HDES states that the contact "will be assessed by a doctor from the hospital's Gynecology and Obstetrics department as soon as possible" and the users "will be guided on the treatment and/or need to use the Gynecology and Obstetrics emergency service".

In addition to this email, the hospital has also made available on its Facebook page the contacts for the Palliative Care support lines (911 584 061), the Outpatient Unit of Pharmaceutical Services (911 584 224) and the Endocrinology and Nutrition Service (911 585 902).

The HDES reveals that through its general line - 296 203 000 - information can be obtained about the location to which patients who were hospitalized were transferred.

In addition, it provides the contacts of all hospitals and IPSS that received patients.

Thus, the Health Unit of São Miguel Island, in Ponta Delgada, is 296 249 220, the Bom Jesus Clinic is 296 285 352 and the Casa da Nossa Senhora da Conceição is 296 306 320.

The Casa de Saúde de São Miguel (296 201 600), CUF Açores (296 248 000), Hospital da Horta (292 201 000) and Hospital do Santo Espírito da Ilha Terceira (295 403 200) are the remaining contacts in the archipelago.

The support line for information on patients transferred to Madeira is 967 702 566.

The HDES also reveals that it will, "very soon", make available an email address and a telephone number from which it will be possible to obtain answers to questions such as the renewal of prescriptions and medical leave.

The fire at the Ponta Delgada hospital, which broke out at 09:40 local time on Saturday (10:40 in Lisbon) and was only declared extinguished at 16:11, forced the transfer of 240 patients who were hospitalized to various locations in the Azores, Madeira and the mainland.

The Government of the Azores declared a state of public calamity on Sunday to "accelerate procedures" that will allow the activity of the largest Azorean health unit to be normalized in a "short period of time".

The clinical management announced on Wednesday that the hospital will be reactivated slowly, with the oncology and hemodialysis units expected to resume activity in a phased manner next week.

An accounting of the damage caused by the fire has not yet been released.
