"Weak and injured" tawny owl rescued in the municipality of Covilhã
The bird was transported and delivered to the Wildlife Recovery Center in Castelo Branco.

A tawny owl was rescued this Monday by the Nature and Environmental Protection Service (SEPNA), in the municipality of Covilhã.
The animal was found by a civilian, who alerted members of the National Republican Guard (GNR) who were patrolling the area, reporting that "the animal was wandering around, apparently weakened and injured", revealed the GNR in a statement.
Therefore, the members went to the location and "located and collected" the owl.
The bird ended up being "transported and delivered to the Wildlife Recovery Centre (CERAS) in Castelo Branco", where its health condition will be monitored until it recovers and can be released into its natural habitat.
