Man arrested for threatening his partner with a gun in Odemira
A 46-year-old man was arrested by the GNR in the early hours of today for threatening his 38-year-old partner with weapons in the municipality of Odemira (Beja), said a source from that security force.

The Public Relations officer for the Beja Territorial Command of the GNR, Luís Guerreiro, told Lusa that the man was arrested in Brejão, in the parish of São Teotónio, in flagrante delicto while threatening his wife with a bladed weapon and a replica firearm.
The suspect was arrested by officers from the Odemira Territorial Detachment, in the district of Beja, who carried out a house search and seized the weapons.
The man was brought to court today and will be heard again on Wednesday at the Odemira Judicial Court for the application of possible coercive measures, the same source concluded.
