Nuno Melo in "solidarity" with Robert Fico and "all the Slovak people"
According to the Minister of Defence, "attacks like today's, in Slovakia, have no place in the European project" in which he believes.

The Minister of Defense, Nuno Melo, left a message of "solidarity" to the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, who was shot in the street this Wednesday, "and to all the Slovak people".
"Europe must be a space of peace, democracy, and security. Attacks like today's, in Slovakia, have no place in the European project in which I believe", Nuno Melo began by writing, in a post on social media X.
The Minister of Defense also showed his "solidarity" with Prime Minister Robert Fico and with all the Slovak people.

It is worth mentioning that the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, was shot, this Wednesday, in the chest and in the belly, in Handlova, after a meeting with the Government.
The government official was taken to the hospital and, according to a post made on his official Facebook page, "is currently in life-threatening condition", after having been "shot several times".
The suspect has already been arrested by the authorities.
