A woman, a pilgrim on the Caminhos de Santiago, was in serious condition on Wednesday after being hit by a light vehicle on the Ponte Eiffel, in Viana do Castelo.
As the Alto Minho Sub-regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command confirmed to Notícias ao Minuto, the victim was transported to the Hospital de Santa Luzia, in Viana do Castelo.
The woman was walking when she was hit, the source reported.
The alert was given at 6:10 pm and the Viana do Castelo Firefighters assisted the victim.
The Guarda Nacional Republicana (GNR) took charge of the incident.
