Parolee returns to raping women in the Center of the country
Crimes occurred this time in Covilhã and Fundão. Mechanic's victims are between 16 and 40 years old. Previously, he had been convicted of the crimes of kidnapping and rape in Sintra.

A 36-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday, May 15, on suspicion of having raped three women, aged between 16 and 40, in Covilhã and Fundão, between the months of January and May, revealed the Judiciary Police (PJ) in a statement sent to Notícias ao Minuto.
According to the inspectors, the investigation had "special development" after the last rape, of a 26-year-old woman, on May 5.
The victim, an employee of a commercial establishment in Covilhã, was surprised by the suspect, handcuffed and forcibly put inside a car, driven by the now detainee, at the time she was walking on her usual route between home and work.
After the kidnapping, she was transported to two different locations, where she was violently subjected to "very important" sexual practices, which resulted in serious physical and psychological damage.
After committing the crimes, the suspect released the victim in the same area where she had been kidnapped, about an hour earlier.
The woman immediately sought help, ending up receiving medical and hospital assistance at the Hospital da Cova da Beira.
Upon learning of the crime, the PJ carried out several inquiries, which culminated in the arrest of the suspect, yesterday, in the Fundão area, as well as a house search and another non-residential search.
During the searches, several pieces of evidence were seized that led to the confirmation of the PJ's suspicions, as well as the association of the suspect with two more similar crimes.
The first is related to an attack on a 16-year-old girl, in the form of sexual coercion, which took place in January of this year. The other will have been committed on the woman herself, 40 years old, in a context of domestic violence, one day before the kidnapping and rape of the aforementioned 26-year-old woman.
The detainee, who is a car mechanic, had been on probation since last September, after being convicted and having served part of his sentence in prison, also for kidnapping and rape, this time committed in the municipality of Sintra.
The man will be present today for the first judicial interrogation for the application of coercive measures.
