18-year-old girl who felt sick on Tavira island was helped
The case happened on Wednesday afternoon.

The crew of the Lifeboat Station of Tavira, in the Algarve, helped an 18-year-old who felt ill, next to the pier of the island of Tavira.
The case happened on Wednesday afternoon, says the National Maritime Authority (AMN) in a statement, revealing that the alert was received at 3:50 pm, through the Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center of Lisbon (MRCC Lisbon).
"A crew member of the Lifeboat Station of Tavira and a military member of the Port Captaincy of Tavira, as well as elements of the Municipal Firefighters of Tavira, immediately went to the site", says the AMN in the information note.
The young woman "was transported by the lifeboat to the Quatro-Águas pier" and was "immediately assisted by the Municipal Firefighters of Tavira". She was later taken to a hospital.
