Miguel Pinto Luz asks to listen to all parties with "humility"

To journalists, in the Assembly of the Republic, Pinto Luz - who met with representatives of several parties with parliamentary seats this Thursday - left a "message of work, of perspective" of being able to "include many of the proposals that were presented today by the political parties".
"Together with the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, a methodology was defined, the Government already has the entire legislative process underway and the political parties will be informed of these details so that they can add value to the necessary changes they want to make", the minister also explained, answering questions from journalists.
He also admitted that "what was agreed in an open work methodology is that what has to go through the Assembly of the Republic will naturally have to go through, but even what does not have to go through the Assembly of the Republic, we are available for dialogue".
"The dialogue goes beyond the walls of this maximum space of Democracy", he concluded.
The Government met, on Thursday morning, with representatives of the parties with parliamentary seats, to debate the possible inclusion of their proposals in the housing programme 'Construir Portugal'.
This programme, announced last Friday, provides, among other measures, the creation of a public guarantee for young people to buy their first home, the reformulation of the Porta 65 programme and the revocation of the Extraordinary Contribution on Local Accommodation (CEAL) and the expiry of the license and transferability. The 'Construir Portugal' also seeks to "restore flexibility and confidence to those who rent and to landlords".
