GNR located missing man after transfer to Bragança Hospital
The 70-year-old man who disappeared from the Bragança Hospital on Wednesday was located by the GNR on the A4 motorway between São Pedro and Samil, in the municipality of Bragança, a source from the Guarda told Lusa today.

According to the GNR, the septuagenarian was located around 5:00 pm today on the A-4, and appeared to be in good health, and was then taken to the Bragança hospital unit.
The authorities concentrated the searches mainly in Bragança and on the route that connects this city to Sendim, a distance of about 100 kilometers.
A daughter of the elderly man told Lusa that her father, a resident of Sendim, in the municipality of Miranda do Douro, was transported by ambulance by local firefighters to the Bragança hospital, where he entered the emergency service at the beginning of Tuesday night, with several injuries to his face and that the family had no news of the relative since 2:00 pm on Wednesday.
In a clarification requested by Lusa, the Northeast Local Health Unit, the managing entity of the Bragança Hospital, stated that, at the beginning of Wednesday afternoon, the patient "left the Emergency Service of his own free will, with his belongings, despite being asked several times to remain in the Service", when he was "conscious, cooperative and oriented in time and space and, therefore, able to make his own decisions autonomously".
In view of this situation, the ULS Nordeste clarified that the competent authorities were immediately notified, as well as the patient's family, as internally protocoled.
The ULS stated that the man, "at the beginning of Tuesday night, entered the aforementioned Emergency Service", after a fall on the public road and entered "without clinical criteria of severity".
According to the ULS, the patient was promptly attended to, assessed and treated, and all necessary procedures were carried out for his stabilization and recovery.
By clinical indication, the patient remained under observation in the Emergency Service, he added.
The family of the septuagenarian indicated that they filed a report for the disappearance of the septuagenarian at the GNR post in Sendim.
