Portuguese driving in the wrong direction causes accident on Spanish motorway
A driver had to swerve and crashed into the road divider.

A Portuguese citizen caused an accident on Thursday, while driving a vehicle in the wrong direction on a highway in Spain.
According to the local newspaper Faro de Vigo, the accident happened at 6:30 pm (5:30 pm in Lisbon) on the A-55 highway, in Tui, Pontevedra, near the border with Portugal.
The Portuguese driver was about to collide head-on with a vehicle traveling in the right direction and, in an attempt to avoid the collision, the driver of the car swerved, but ended up crashing into the road divider.
The Guardia Civil was called to the scene of the accident and assisted the woman, who was not injured despite the impact.
According to Faro de Vigo, the woman was the only occupant of the vehicle.
