Day against Homophobia. Government commits to a "fairer" country
Prime Minister Luís Montenegro marks today the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia with the commitment to a fairer country where no one is discriminated against because of their sexual orientation.

"For people and for equality. For a freer society, in which no one is discriminated against because of their sexual orientation. On the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, our commitment to a fairer Country remains unwavering", reads a message published today by the Prime Minister on social network X.
The International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia was also marked today by the President of the Republic.
Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa published a message on the official website of the Presidency of the Republic in which he calls for zero tolerance towards any form of discrimination and violence.
"When ignorance or prejudice can generate hatred and fuel divisions, it becomes mandatory to underline the message of inclusion and non-discrimination associated with the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia", said the Head of State.
