Portuguese man dies in work accident in Spain. It is the 2nd this week
A 38-year-old man, who lived in Haro and worked in a steel transformation company in Pancorbo, was hit by a metal plate weighing more than 1 ton.

A 38-year-old Portuguese man, living in Haro, Spain, died on Wednesday night in an accident at work in a steel processing company, located in the Cantarranas de Pancorbo industrial park.
According to the newspaper Cope, the alert was given at 9:30 pm (local time). When the authorities arrived at the scene, the man was already unconscious. A metal plate, made of various materials, such as stainless steel, carbon steel and aluminium, weighing about 1.5 tons, had fallen on him.
Despite his colleagues managing to remove the plate from the Portuguese man, the emergency medical service was unable to save him and his death was certified at the scene.
The accident is now under investigation.
It is worth remembering that, on Tuesday, a 39-year-old Portuguese man also died following an accident at work in Spain. In this case, in a glass company in Cuerte de Huerva, in Zaragoza.
