Two baby dogs, a male and a female, were abandoned, this Friday, without food or water, on the street in the municipality of Crestuma, in Porto.
The case was reported by IRA - Intervenção e Resgate Animal on its social networks.
The two dogs were left "to their fate", whose evidence "points to intentional abandonment by human hand", which constitutes "a crime of abandonment of a companion animal", can be read in the publication.
The animals "were taken to the IRA facilities" because they were "at risk" and without the presence of "any of the parents".
"Starving, freezing, thirsty and scared", describes the animal welfare association, which also revealed that both were referred to a veterinary center for exams.
The IRA added in the meantime, in another publication, that the two dogs are already "full, hydrated, warm and becoming more active".
