78-year-old man dies in light vehicle crash in Sertã
A 78-year-old man died today, following the skidding of a light vehicle on the National Road (EN) 237 in Cernache do Bonjardim, municipality of Sertã, district of Castelo Branco, a source from Civil Protection told Lusa.

The alert was given at 6:30 p.m., for a slight skid on the EN 237 near Cernache do Bonjardim, indicated a source from the Beira Baixa Sub-regional Command.
The death of the only victim resulting from the skid, a 78-year-old man, was declared on the spot, he added.
Elements from the Cernache de Bonjardim Firefighters, INEM, Infraestruturas e Portugal (IP) and the GNR, who took charge of the occurrence, were sent to the scene.
