The Republican National Guard (GNR) carried out several operations throughout the national territory, between May 10 and 16, resulting in more than 350 arrests and more than 5,500 detected offenses.  The operations, emphasizes the GNR in a statement, "aimed not only at preventing and combating crime and road accidents, but also at monitoring various matters within the scope of administrative offenses". Thus, there were 356 arrests in flagrante delicto, including 124 for driving under the influence of alcohol; 87 for driving without legal authorization; 22 for drug trafficking; 24 for theft and robbery; 20 for domestic violence; seven for illegal possession of weapons and prohibited weapons and one for forest fire. 
 
3,213.95 doses of cocaine were also seized; 1,861.9 doses of MDMA 1,198.76 doses of hashish; 133.1 doses of heroin; 79.008 doses of marijuana; 561 ammunitions of various calibers; 25 vehicles; 17 firearms; 12 bladed or prohibited weapons and 5,112.32 euros in cash. 
 

Finally, in traffic control, 5,663 offenses were detected, including: 848 speeding; 636 for lack of mandatory periodic inspection; 325 for improper use of the mobile phone while driving; 319 for driving with a blood alcohol level above that permitted by law; 305 related to tachographs; 292 related to lighting and signaling system anomalies; 210 for lack of civil liability insurance and 178 for lack or incorrect use of the seat belt and/or child restraint system.
