46-year-old man missing in Ferreira do Alentejo. Search underway
A 46-year-old man has been missing in Ferreira do Alentejo, in the district of Beja, since Thursday, and a search operation is underway by the authorities, revealed today the Civil Protection and the GNR.

In statements to the Lusa agency, a source from the Sub-Regional Command for Emergency and Civil Protection of Baixo Alentejo said that the GNR requested the collaboration of the Volunteer Firefighters of Ferreira do Alentejo today, at 2:50 pm, in this land search and rescue operation.
It is "a man who disappeared two days ago in Ferreira do Alentejo", the same source added.
Also contacted by Lusa, a source from the GNR's Beja Territorial Command explained that "the last contact" made by this 46-year-old man happened "at 00:52 on Thursday".
"It was his girlfriend who alerted the authorities to the disappearance" and, since then, searches have been carried out, he added.
The operation today mobilises a total of eight operatives, supported by four vehicles, including means from the firefighters and the GNR, said the sub-regional command for Emergency and Civil Protection of Baixo Alentejo.
