A "possible" large meteorite was sighted in the Portuguese and Spanish skies, late on Saturday night. The phenomenon described was reported around 11:50 pm and left those who saw it in disbelief.

Around 2:45 am the search would be demobilized without anything having been found. "At least nothing was found during the night now", said a source from the Viseu Dão Lafões Sub-regional Command.
