According to a statement that the Notícias ao Minuto had access to, within the scope of an investigation into drug trafficking that had been going on for about a year, "the military of the Guard managed to identify and dismantle a drug trafficking network that operated in Greater Porto".
11 search warrants were carried out, five at home, five in vehicles and one in a restaurant and beverage establishment. These culminated in the arrest of ten suspects and the seizure of a large quantity of drugs and money.
In a statement, the GNR highlights the seizure of 70,000 doses of hashish; 2,400 doses of cannabis; 350 doses of cocaine; 700 doses of MDMA; 500 doses of heroin; 50 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms; about 105,000 euros in cash; two firearms; five mobile phones; two vehicles and various materials for growing, weighing, packaging and cutting drug material.
It should be noted that two suspects had already been arrested and appeared in the Porto Judicial Court on Friday, May 17, and were subjected to the coercive measure of daily presentations at the police stations in their respective areas of residence.
The remaining eight detainees, one of whom has a criminal record, will appear tomorrow, May 21, at the Porto Judicial Court, for the application of coercive measures.
