Fruit Juices Seized in Sines Concealed Over 500 kg of Cocaine
PJ detained three people during Operation Puma and also helped Spanish authorities locate 490 kg of cocaine hidden in melons.

The Judicial Police (PJ) seized a total of 535 kg of cocaine in the last few days, packaged in fruit juice containers, coming from a Latin American country and unloaded in the Port of Sines.
In a statement sent to Notícias ao Minuto, the inspectors reveal that, during the PUMA operation, three men aged between 49 and 52 were also arrested in national territory, one of Portuguese nationality and two foreigners.
According to the PJ, the way it was concealed in the juice packaging made it extremely difficult to detect. To remove the cocaine, it was necessary to completely destroy the packaging.
In the same note, the inspectors reveal that, due to the sharing of information from the PJ with the Spanish authorities, it was also possible to identify and locate, in Spain, another container in the Port of Vigo, inside which more than 490 kg of cocaine were found and seized, concealed among melons.
Investigations are ongoing.
