Man injured in paragliding accident at Praia da Aberta Nova

A man suffered serious injuries on Tuesday after a paragliding fall on the beach of Aberta Nova, in the municipality of Grândola, district of Setúbal, reported sources from the Civil Protection and the Maritime Police.
The source from the Sub-Regional Command of Emergency and Civil Protection of Alentejo Litoral indicated to the Lusa agency that the alert for the accident was given to the authorities at 3:15 pm.
According to the same source, the victim, whose age the various sources contacted by Lusa were unable to specify, was transported by firefighters to the emergency department of the Hospital do Litoral Alentejano, in Santiago do Cacém.
The relief operations mobilized the Grândola Firefighters, the Maritime Police and the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM), with seven operatives, supported by four vehicles, including an Emergency Medical and Resuscitation Vehicle.
