Joana Amaral Dias tried to force her way into the four-way debate for the European elections that took place on Tuesday on RTP between Marta Temido (PS), Sebastião Bugalho (AD), António Tânger Corrêa (Chega) and João Oliveira (PCP).
Upset at being "barred", the leader of the ADN party's list for the European Parliament broadcast the moment live on social media and even nicknamed herself "Joana, the Debate Crasher".
According to the candidate, ADN filed an injunction demanding participation in the European debates organised by public television, and the judge found no evidence that the candidate had not been invited to the debate.
In the video, Joana Amaral Dias can be seen entering the RTP building with the party leader, Bruno Fialho, and trying to force her way into the debate, confronting the channel's deputy director.
Joana Garcia explains that ADN was not invited to the debate because it has no parliamentary representation and points out that the party will participate in the 30 May debate for parties without parliamentary representation.
