The Lisbon Stock Exchange closed today's session with a rise in the PSI index of 0.65% to 6,950.11 points, in a counter-cycle to the main European squares.

Of the 16 listed companies that make up the PSI, eight rose, seven fell and one remained unchanged. EDP Renováveis led the increases with a 3.93% appreciation to 15.08 euros and NOS led the decreases with a 0.88% drop to 3.38 euros. The biggest increases also included CTT (3.77% to 4.40 euros), EDP (1.77% to 3.81 euros) and Sonae (1.29% to 0.94 euros). Sonae recorded 25 million euros in profits attributable to shareholders in the first quarter of this year, a value similar to that obtained in the same period last year, the group said in a statement on Tuesday. Corticeira Amorim rose 1.06% to 9.56 euros, Altri advanced 1.05% to 5.30 euros and with increases of less than 0.30% were Ibersol (7.50 euros) and Mota-Engil (3.94 euros). On the other hand, Jerónimo Martins fell 0.86% to 20.64 euros and Navigator fell 0.53% to 4.10 euros. REN fell 0.40% to 2.48 euros, Semapa fell 0.25% to 16.18 euros, Galp lost 0.20% to 19.88 euros and BCP fell 0.08% to 0.36 euros. Greenvolt remained unchanged at 8.30 euros. The main European stock exchanges closed in the 'red'. Paris fell 0.61%, London 0.55%, Milan 0.41%, Frankfurt 0.25% and Madrid 0.05%. [News updated at 5:30 pm]
