"I can say that the Public Security Police have, as usual for this type of show, all the normal resources involved. We have patrols, traffic control, rapid intervention forces, intervention corps, explosives activation team, criminal investigation team... all resources will be here, prepared, so that this event, another Portuguese Cup final, runs successfully and safely", assured the sub-intendent and commander of the Oeiras Police Division of the PSP, Carla Duarte, at a press conference held on the pitch of the Estádio Nacional, in Oeiras.

Carla Duarte guaranteed that all conditions are in place for the fans of the two rivals to coexist in the vicinity of the Estádio Nacional, in Oeiras, this Sunday.

"I mentioned all the resources that the PSP has and will have on Sunday to receive all the fans, the PSP has its information gathering team and monitors the fans in the teams. We have here all the necessary resources to receive the fans of both clubs, the teams and the organized fan groups, and we are prepared to have this resource ready to receive the entire public", she pointed out.

The PSP also asked fans to arrive at the stadium in advance, advising FC Porto fans to use the A8/CREL to enter through the south side of the Estádio Nacional, while Sporting fans should travel on the A1/A5 so that they can enter through the north side of the venue, also warning of the forecast of intense heat for the date of the match.

Carla Duarte also expressed confidence that the effectiveness of the plan drawn up will prevent late entries to the venue and that they will take place without any constraints, despite the prospects of a 'full house' in the Jamor stands.

"Regarding late entries, as we have already advised and the clubs have also, the fans should come with the necessary time in advance and we want to believe that they will enter, and that we will certainly ensure that they watch the game calmly in their place", she explained.

FC Porto, the holders of the last two editions of the Portuguese Football Cup, and Sporting, recently crowned winners of the I League, will face each other on Sunday, at 5:15 pm, at the Estádio Nacional, in the final of the so-called 'queen's event', refereed by Fábio Veríssimo, from the Leiria Football Association.
